Cirquest

Cirquest is specialized in E-learning. They focus on creating an experience that visualizes theory and practice with the goal to make learning more effective. We created software that makes it possible for the developers at Cirquest to have full webcam and audio integration in their core software. This is used to record trainees' responses to different situations and then later confront them with their own reaction.

Old vs. New

Cirquest used to record their videos using Flash Media Server, but unfortunately the video quality that this delivered wasn't very high. We developed a C++ application that can record a video from a webcam and encode it using H.264 codec live, this video can then be played in any flash application. This C++ application can be controlled by an AIR application that we also created. Cirquest implemented this solution within their own AIR application, allowing them to record high quality video within their own AIR application.
